Pregnancy and birth is something that looks different for everyone, and I vow to support you in the very best way possible. Whether you're birthing at home, birth center, hospital, via surrogate, planned cesarean, adopting a newborn, or even placing a baby for adoption, there are so many ways a doula can support your family. Through judgment-free informational, emotional, and physical support, a doula can guide you through the difficult decisions of pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum.
If you would like to schedule a time to chat about how I might fit into your birth story, or you just want to learn more about what a doula does, please reach out!
My name is Racquel (Rocky) and I am a DONA certified birth doula since 2019. I just recently became ‘Advanced VBAC Doula’ certified in 2024. I am also an avid plant collector, chicken raiser, backyard gardener, wife, and mother. I came to birth work through years of self-reflection and by observing the birth world around me. My mother is a CNM and watching her work over the years has driven my fascination of how a woman’s body can make and bring forth new life. With that, I have dedicated my life to supporting families in all birthing situations.
I have a naturally empathetic, calm, and advocating personality and knew, intuitively, that this was the path for me. My main goal as a birth doula is to help people have better birth experiences based on evidence, empowerment, and a touch of holistic application. I have been witness to the incredible power and strength that birthing people can possess, as well as the invaluable influence of having compassionate, non-judgmental support during the beautifully vulnerable time of labor and birth.
