I invite you to join me for Tallahassee Birth Services’ first ever ‘Beyond the Basics’ childbirth education series. In 3 sessions (9 hours) you will learn the ins and outs of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, with a focus on labor prep and coping. Upon completing this series, you and your support person will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to approach your birth with confidence and success.

This option is NOT RECOMMENDED for first time parents, as it does not include pregnancy, labor, birth, or postpartum doula support. If you choose this option and later want to upgrade to another package, the contract and fee will be updated accordingly.

Additional prenatal or postpartum meetings can be added to any package for an additional fee.
Here are some practical tips to prioritize hiring a doula:
- Contact early! My fee is typically broken down into 3 payments. Minimum 50% deposit at contract signing, 25% at/by our first prenatal meeting, and the final 25% by 37 weeks of pregnancy. The earlier you contact me, the more time you have to spread out the payments and lower the financial stress.
- Put a doula on your baby registry!! Your friends and family want the best for you and your new baby, and offering a monetary contribution to your care may be just what they were looking for!
- Check your FSA/HSA/HRA or Health Insurance policy. You might just find that doula support is covered by your particular plan!
There are many ways to plan for hiring a doula, and it can all start with a simple conversation.
